A legacy cannot be rushed !! The fun part is the journey !!

It’s not really about achieving anything, it never really was.

Get it together soldier. 🫡

You ever save up for a long time to buy something you really really want and then when you finally get it it doesn’t really make you feel any happier?

It’s called the Hedonic Treadmill. Basically humans happiness levels are relatively the same whether you’re rich, poor, sick, or healthy. Your happiness levels will remain about the same.

Your level of happiness depends on you.

I feel like we’re all hustling and trying to get somewhere we’re not, but what about the step your on? And being completely present in this moment?

The more you pursue feeling better all the time, the less satisfied and happy you become because pursuing something only reinforces that you lack it in the first place when you’ve had it all along !!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Ever notice how when you stop caring everything seems to fall into place …? !?

Literally nothing is even fkn real 😂😂 Atoms are 99.9% empty space.

In this book I read, the author describes that, in life there is always duality, (happiness can’t exist without sadness) and humans go through a constant pain and pleasure cycle.

But the thing is, there are sometimes moments in life, where for a small little moment, you feel completely at peace and at one with the world. Just completely content, — which is different than being happy.

One of those moments where your usual worries are not buzzing around in the back of your head, where your internal dialogue goes quiet, and all you can do is live.

This can happen randomly in many situations, but often it might happen when you witness beautiful natural phenomena.

Like the northern lights,

or a really pretty sunset.

This feeling of peace and divine contentment, is one of the only things that does not follow the pain and pleasure cycle. Not even in it’s absence, does it create pain. You are just content.

And when you are not in those moments, you can’t really recreate the feeling in your memory strong enough to really miss it until the next time you experience it. This is what the author calls presence. Being completely present, in the moment. Right now, and living like you were born to do.

can you just calm the fuck down and breathe for 2 seconds? jesus…
